HEATING

The heating process allows many benefits such as the reduction of heavy oil’s viscosity and density and the improvement of the coalescence. The heat treating takes place thanks to a fire-tube positioned into separate or combined vessels.

DEHYDRATION

Thermal solutions for improving the performance of crude oil

Crude oil dehydration represents a crucial step in the heavy oil treatment: the removal of water or water vapor from oil in a rotating centrifuge is required in accordance with refinery & pipeline specifications. Before processed into refined oil products, water must be removed from petroleum in order to reach acceptable levels of water content defined by the customers. The process supports the initial separation into free water, crude oil and natural gas ensuring a major decrease in viscosity of heavy oil.

DESALTING

We prevent corrosions into storage tanks and pipeline

Desalting process contributes to prevent corrosions due to inorganic salts contained into crude oil. The desalter is a dehydrator which reduces the salt content in the crude oil thanks to a water dilution hindering severe problems during the refining process. TSE is extremely attentive to the requirements for construction, materials and testing respecting ASME standards. able to provide the best solution for each technical requirement. The 99,99% of the salt is condensate within the water thus the removal of the water allows a total crude oil desalting. Depending on the starting salt content and the outlet salt specifications, the desalting process may involve diverse methods.

STABILIZATION

The stabilization process provides all the most volatile components of crude oil to be removed in order to reduce the Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) making the liquids safer for storage and transport. The stabilization allows the removal of light gases and H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) sweetening the sour crude while reducing vapor pressure.
